To edit a design in the Brand Kit, click the design you want to customize and it will open in a new tab. This is the Brand Kit editor, where you can change text, images, backgrounds, and more. This is also where you export and download your designs.

To edit text in your design, double-click the text you want to edit and a cursor will appear. You can also adjust the size of the text box by clicking the edge and dragging on it, or clicking in the text box to move it around.

To change the font in your design, click the text, then click under Font in the left menu to select the font you want. You can also change Font Size in the left menu by selecting a size or using the size toggle.

Change font color

To change text color, click the text in your design. Under Fill in the left menu, click the colored square. You’ll be taken to a color picker where you can enter the HEX code of a color you want, or pick from a menu of colors under Default or Document. (Document pulls in colors that are currently being used in the design.)

To add a new block of text to a design, go to the main menu of the Brand Kit editor (click Back in the top left of your screen to get there). Click Text and you’ll see the option to add a header, subheading, lines of text, or bullet points. Click the option you want to add it to your design. Adjust the font size and color by clicking the text and selecting options under Font and Font Size in the left menu.

Upload your own image

To add your own image, click the image you want to change in your selected design. Click Replace Image in the left menu, then select Upload. Navigate to the image file on your computer and click Open. You’ll be taken back to the Brand Kit editor, where you can scale the image and click Apply Image to add it to your design.

Upload a stock image

To choose or change a stock image, click the image in design. Click Replace Image in the left menu, then select Unsplash. From here, you can use the search bar to find images. When you find one you like, click Add. You’ll be taken back to the Brand Kit editor, where you can scale the image and click Apply Image to add it to your design.

To remove the background from your logo on a Brand Kit design, click the background of your logo (not the text) and hit delete. This effectively gives you a logo with a transparent background!

To change the color of your logo — e.g. to make it black or white — click your logo and navigate to Selected Colors in the left menu. Click the colored square, which will take you to a color picker. Under Document, you’ll see the other colors pulled in from the document. Select the color you want and the color of the logo text will change.

To move or resize your logo, click on it and a box will appear. Drag the box around to reposition the logo, being careful not to place too close to the margins of your design. To resize your logo in a design, one of the circles in the corner of the box and drag to make it bigger or smaller.

To change a background color, click Background in the left menu and select Color. Click the colored square under Fill and use the color picker to pick a color (or input a HEX code).

Add a line or shape to your design

To add a line or shape to your design, navigate to Shapes in the left menu and select the line or shape you want. Click the shape to move it, and edit the color from the left menu.

Remove/delete design elements

To remove elements from your designs, including shapes, lines, photos, text — simply click the part of the design you want to remove and press delete.

Export designs in the file type you need

To export a design, click Export in the top right corner, select the file type you want, and click Download. The file will save to your downloads folder.

After you’ve created a social post in the Brand Kit, click Download and you’ll see the option to post to Instagram or Facebook. This step requires a quick setup to grant permissions — once that’s done, you’re all set.
